What's the difference between THC and CBD?

Both are cannabinoids that are derived from cannabis flower however industrial hemp is federally legal and dominant in the cannabinoid CBD and contains less than 0.3% of THC. Both work on the endocannabinoid system to create positive health changes.

Is there a difference between hemp and marijuana?

Yes! Marijuana is still considered an illegal substance federally, while hemp products are legal. At Society's Plant we advocate for the people's right to consume cannabis (marijuana) medicinally and recreationally and promote conscious consumption of all cannabis products.

Will consuming CBD cause a positive drug test result?

Most cannabis drug tests test for the delta-9 THC metabolite present in urine after consuming THC. Broad-spectrum CBD products will not show up on the blood test, as it isn't a psychoactive compound. However, CBD flowers containing less than 0.3% delta-9 may trigger a positive result on a blood test in very rare cases.
